​Though the pandemic has put many performances on hold, performances are finally starting to be rescheduled. Here's what else has been happening behind the scenes.


  • I am participating in Opera Hack, sponsored by San Diego Opera, during the summer of 2021. This hackathon brings together artists and technology experts to brainstorm on problems and issues in presenting opera today.

  • I was recently a guest composer for the new Circuit Bridges Festival, which sponsored terrific live online performances by Drew Whiting, Saxophone. You can watch his February 13 performance here (featuring Cradle) and his December 19 performance here (featuring Ötzi).

  • Recent commissions include a new work entitled "I Am I Plus My Surroundings," for Bassoon and Interactive Electronics, written for Lia Uribe. She is planning to record and release it in 2021.

  • In Summer 2020, The Witches of Vardø for solo violin was one of four winners of Luciano Casalino's international call for scores. He will record and release the work in Spain, details TBA.

  • Shelter for youth chorus (SSA+Piano) was commissioned by the Detroit Composers Project for One Voice. Premiere was originally scheduled for Spring 2020, will be rescheduled TBA.
