“Play” is a suite of three scherzi for baritone saxophone and bassoon. Each movement is titled after a real game invented by my two children, Ignacio and Isla; I will leave it to the performers and the audience to imagine the nature of each game. “Play” was commissioned in 2017 by a consortium of musicians led the saxophone-bassoon duo Due Corcra, J. Adam Briggs and Genevieve Beaulieu.
